A month already?! Pt.2

We finished our shopping and we went to grab a bite to eat. If you all know me I'm always up for a big juicy cheeseburger. As we were pulling into the parking lot we had to put on the breaks. There was a homeless man standing in the road, holding his giant trash bag of belongings with the biggest smile on his face. We all looked at him and waved. The conversation in the car began to take place. The girls asked if he was homeless, why did he have that bag, and why was he so happy. We replied “Yes, he is homeless and he carries around all the stuff that he owns in that trash bag. He is so happy because he is choosing joy. He is joyful in his trials. ” He crossed the road and we pulled into the parking lot. The girls and I went inside and Ethan stayed outside to talk with him. Ethan came inside and said he asked the man if we could buy him lunch and he said yes. We jumped at the opportunity to help. The next day we went out to grab a gift card for one of our friends at a local coffee shop. While we were there we started talking with a man who was warming up inside. Ethan asked if he wanted a coffee and he said no. So Ethan asked if he wanted something to eat and he shook his head yes. They brought his meal out and Ethan stood by him and told him. God will be near to you all you have to do is reach out and the man lifted his hand reaching out to the Lord. If God can use us in so many ways in such little time, I cannot wait to see how he will continue to use us. God is so good. We had been searching online for a rental or something we could call home since we had been in NC. Looking online is a daunting task, especially when it's across the country. We began to tour and look at places. Some places seemed promising, some not so much. The Christiansens came across their friend’s apartment online and we called her immediately. We went over within an hour and we moved in the next day! God is good! She told us she had been praying for the right family and she had shown the apartment over 20 times. It’s a quaint little two-bedroom overlooking the Pacific Ocean, nestled on the side of a snowy mountain. The girls have found a new love in sledding. With a large driveway and a deep steep hill, they have managed to set a speed record. We try to get outside every day when the sun is out. Now that we have a normal routine we can finally take a deep breath. We are praying for guidance. We are praying to the Lord to guide us on this path and to know where He needs us. We want to put together care bags for the homeless. Reusable bags filled with warm socks, a warm hat, a pair of gloves, warm packs, a Gospel track, and some nonperishable food (food you don't need to cook). This is a mission we can continue through the whole year.
